Youth Department Internships

YOUTH DEPARTMENT INTERNSHIPS

CAIR-MA offers internships to students on a rolling basis.  Interns work closely with all staff and are trained to adopt a multitude of skills throughout their tenure. They also develop professional skills and become privy to the operations of civic advocacy, non-profit, and public service.

WHY INTERN AT CAIR-MA

This opportunity will allow you to work alongside the Youth Advocacy Coordinator, Fatuma Mohamed, on statewide initiatives including the popular Muslim Youth Leadership Program.

Intern will be working closely with Youth Advocacy coordinator to plan, organize, and run MYLP. MYLP is a four-day three-night in person youth leadership program

Interns at CAIR-MA work directly with senior staff members on substantive projects that lay the foundation for a fair and more inclusive America.  They get hands-on experience in advocacy and proactive media engagement, gain insight into the societal impact of public service, and have the opportunity to work on a variety of issues so that they might holistically understand the daily operations of a non-profit civil rights organization.

Internships require a full-time commitment for a substantial part of the summer.  Interns can earn community service hours or academic credit through their university, pending institutional approval.
