CAIR-MA invites the entire Massachusetts Muslim community to join us, especially:
Students and young professionals will gain valuable exposure to careers in government and public service and learn how state government works. They’ll also have the chance to share their lived experiences as Muslims in schools, on campus, and in the workplace. Parents will also have the opportunity to voice their concerns for the well-being and future of Muslim youth in our state. We encourage all members of the community to join us.
It is essential that Muslim voices are heard as legislators propose and vote on policies that directly impact our communities.
This summer, we’ll be advocating for our representatives to co-sponsor and support the groundbreaking Muslim Commission Bill, championed by Senator Jamie Eldridge and Representative Vanna Howard.
About the Bill:
This bill would establish a full-time state commission dedicated to studying and addressing issues affecting American Muslim communities across Massachusetts. This is the first bill of its kind in the country and we are excited to work will you to ensure this bill becomes a law!
